Position- Accountant(Accounting Manager)
Salary - 55 K - 70 K
Location Mississauga

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform the day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
• Be the primary contact for external vendor providing AP voucher entry and enter vouchers as required to ensure accurate and up to date AP entries.
• Problem solve and resolve issues related to accounts payable.
• Post general ledger entries to ensure accurate inter company postings are maintained at all times.
• Reconcile Credit Cards and Bank accounts to ensure accurate and up to date accounting.
• Communicate with purchasing, logistics and accounting manager as necessary to complete job duties.
• Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and vendors
• Daily posting of vendor invoices using 3-way method if external vendor is unable to post/process.
• Prepare and post weekly vendor payments into Blue Link (ACH/EFT, wires and credit card payments)
• Prepare Monthly Financial Statements, present internal results to Senior Leadership team and be principal contact with external accountants for year end reviews.


Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English, prefer candidates that are fluent in French and/or Mandarin in addition to English.
• Post-Secondary education in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit and internal drive keeping the Customer at the centre of everything that you do.
• Positive mindset with the strong desire to find appropriate solutions for clients and for CBS.
• They will be managing an external relationship. People management isn’t a prerequisite.
• Detail orientated and the ability to prioritize efficiently.
• Be organized, self-directed and take initiative.
• Thrive in a team environment with a desire to be a contributing part of a fun culture.
• Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems, knowledge and comfort with Microsoft 365 and associated software - ERP system experience (BlueLink) an asset.
